Windscreen Repair

A windscreen repair is the process of drilling/preparing a chip and injecting a resin in an effort to contain the damage from spreading further in to a crack which requires windscreen replacement. By doing this, the strength of the windscreen is retained and the optical clarity of the chip is greatly improved.

What to expect from a chip repair

Windscreen chips are all different. Like snowflakes they come in different shapes and sizes and all repair differently.

Whilst chip repairs always  improve chip clarity typically by 60-95% its important to know that the reason to choose a repair is to stop the chip from spreading in to a crack. The impact point (usually a small 1-2mm dot) will remain visible after the repair and the other damage will have a optical clarity improvement of between 60-95% but most importantly windscreen strength is retained to ensure the chip does not spread.
